Donna, I’m proud of you for standing of to Elaine F. Marshall, SOS for her wrongful acts. I’ve been on her back for several years regarding corporations that go up to 12 yrs without filing the required Annual Reports, and no notices going out. When I finally got so bad, they started sending notices in 30-2011, but fail to follow up on many.
This is without a doubt the most incompetent individual I’ve ever seen hold a state office. When I contacted the N.C. Atty General’s office, I was advised it was his job to protect the SOS. I replied, that’s strange, I thought his job was to protect the citizens of N.C.
Individual’s, businesses and lending institutions rely on Corporate records before doing business with them, and many don’t realize that you don’t dare stop with the first page that will show “Current and Active”, when if they will take the time to go to “View Documents (filings” you may find they haven’t filed in years with nothing being done about it.
I finally backed off, but not after sending “Letters to the Editors” of newspapers across NC outlining her malfeasance of duty and incompetence. At least she didn’t win the last election she ran for, and won’t be running for SOS this go round.
